Walk the Talk in Edmonton – June 4, 2011 @ 1pm
McIntyre Park (83 Ave/104 St)
Join us on Saturday, June 4 and walk for what really matters: Love, Non-violence, Peace, Right conduct and Truth. For the 7th year, Edmontonians will have an opportunity to make a difference and inspire others to follow, one step at a time.
This is not a fundraiser or demonstration – We just ask that all participants pledge to practice a value of their choice, as a personal commitment to transformation, and join the group for a joyous walk with music and cheers. Popular pledges in prior years have been, “patience”, “integrity”, “forgiveness”, and “conservation.”

This 1.5km walk encourages others to recycle, use hybrid cars, participate in tree planting, and conserve our natural resources. T-shirts with the Walk for Values logo will be available for sale for $10 on the day of the Walk.
The Walk is open to everyone and is Free. Families, friends, schools, and community groups are encouraged to participate.
As in prior years, the Mayor of Edmonton and City Council will declare June 4, 2011 as HUMAN VALUES DAY in EDMONTON. We thank our City Council in showing public support for this global effort to promote the practice of these universal human values.
